Zeekr in France: understand the brand, its models, charging figures and the checks that matter when comparing its cars.
Zeekr is a Geely Group automotive brand positioned in the premium market. In France, it now has a recognisable line-up, including SUVs and lower-bodied cars, together with a French commercial presence. Understanding the brand starts with separating its models, individual versions and intended uses.
The information below was checked on the manufacturer’s French pages on 14 September 2026. This is a documentary overview of the French market, not a road test. Where does Zeekr fit within Geely Group?
Geely Group and the Geely vehicle brand are different concepts. An automotive group can bring together several brands while each retains its own range, pricing and distribution arrangements. Zeekr has a separate commercial identity. Industrial links do not mean that every Geely dealer automatically sells or services a Zeekr.

Which Zeekr models are presented in France?
The French website highlights the X, 7X, 7GT and 001. It also presents the 9X, for which European reservations were announced in August 2026. Reservations, confirmed orders and actual deliveries are separate stages. Appearing on a homepage does not guarantee immediate availability in a local showroom.

Starting with body style produces a more coherent shortlist. A boot capacity in litres does not explain the width between its wheel arches or how easily a pushchair fits. Similarly, a taller body does not necessarily provide more rear legroom.
Zeekr X: the more compact option
The French X specification gives a length of 4,432 mm. That is useful when checking a garage, but mirror-to-mirror width and room to open the doors are also needed. Rear-seat access is best assessed with the usual passengers, particularly when a child seat is fitted.
Zeekr 7X: a family-sized comparison
The French specification lists the 7X at 4,787 mm long. It therefore belongs in a comparison with similarly sized family SUVs. Its version table is particularly useful: battery capacity, wheels and driven axles can change the outcome even when the model name remains the same.
How should range and charging figures be read?
Range belongs to a version, not just to a model name. At the time of checking, the French Zeekr X table listed 330 km for Core RWD, 405 km for Long Range RWD and 415 km for Privilege AWD. These are manufacturer figures, not promised distances on a motorway in winter.
Meaningful comparisons use the same measurement standard and a consistent context. Speed, temperature, hills, load and heating affect consumption. The normal journey pattern and access to charging consequently matter more than a small difference in brochure mileage.
Peak charging power in kW gives only part of the picture. The battery interval, the time across that interval and the required conditions matter too. A shared or less powerful charger, a cold battery or an already high state of charge can lengthen a stop.
The French 7X table illustrates the distinction. It quotes 13 minutes from 10 to 80% for Core RWD and 16 minutes for the two 100 kWh versions. The fastest quoted charging time and the greatest range therefore do not necessarily describe the same configuration.
What does a Zeekr cost in France?
The official French introduction to the Zeekr X states a starting price of €37,990 including VAT for Core RWD. This reference does not apply to every trim or the whole range. A comparison should retain the date, options and any additional costs associated with the price.
Lease offers need a different reading. Identical monthly payments can conceal different initial rentals, contract lengths and mileage allowances. A finance-linked discount may not apply to a cash purchase. Written quotations for equivalent vehicles and contract terms provide the useful comparison.
Running costs also include insurance, charging, tyres and scheduled servicing. Giving a precise annual saving without knowing mileage and charging access would be misleading. A driver charging mostly at home faces a different energy bill from someone relying heavily on rapid public chargers.
Dealers and servicing: what should be checked?
A nearby showroom makes an initial visit easier. A nearby service centre matters just as much afterwards. Before booking, establish whether the chosen location offers the required model and version, then ask where servicing and warranty work will take place.
A long warranty needs to be read together with its conditions. Duration, mileage, covered components, maintenance requirements and extensions are not interchangeable. Battery cover can have different criteria from the general vehicle warranty.
Practical questions help: who contacts the owner about an important software update? How are parts and vehicle downtime handled? Who investigates a charging or app issue? Written answers make it possible to compare service beyond the appearance of a showroom.

For a test drive, plan a representative route with slow traffic, a faster road where possible, parking and a boot-loading check. Try everyday controls while stationary, inspect navigation readability and check rear access. This turns the discovery of a new brand into a practical vehicle comparison.
